CSM Learn

Core Skills Mastery, or CSM, is a free website where students can work on core skills in math and literacy. It also teaches students about the importance of persistence and motivation. Questions in CSM engage the student in problem solving and critical thinking skills. The technology that CSM uses is adaptive, so the program will continually evaluate student's progress and areas where the student might need additional instruction. CSM will fill in gaps in a student's math and literacy skills down to 3rd grade math and 6th grade literacy.

We recommend using CSM in your math classrooms for independent study time in increments of 30 minutes. So far, the student feedback regarding CSM has been very positive, and we encourage all of our students to login at least a few times to get a feel for how the program works. If you'd like to be added as an instructor to CSM, please email deanna.dixon@rccc.edu or beth.bowman@rccc.edu.
